We read classic literature with each text taking a full term to explore. We look at the author, the era in which the text is set, social and economic issues of the time, the key aspects of the genre as well as reading and exploring the book.

For the coming 2025/6 terms we will be reading the following:
Autumn term - Northanger Abbey Jane Austen to commemorate the bicentennial of her birth.
Spring term - selected poems of Dylan Thomas & John Betjeman
Summer term- Frankenstein Mary Shelly and Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde Robert Louis Stevenson.
