How to Join Our Private Facebook Group

1. Make sure you’re a Bu3a member.
2. Go to Facebook and search for “Bu3a.”
3. Click “Join Group.”

We’ll check your membership and let you in.

The Facebook Group is a private group for Barnsley u3a members ONLY.

The group is also a way of communicating with other members privately. 

IMPORTANT,  Membership Facebook RULES. Please follow them please.

Members posts are checked on a regular basis. If your post is deleted you will be given an explanation.

1. You must be a fully paid up member of Barnsley U3A . (Please make a note of your membership number,)

 2. Your membership name must also be the name on your OWN FACEBOOK.

3. Be kind and treat everyone with respect..

4. Do not share any personal details on the group, use private messaging for this.

5. Please do not swear, or post anything vulgar or potentially offensive.

6. Do not post any comments concerning race, religion, sexual orientation, gender or party politics.

7. No advertising or promotions for financial gain, unless relevant or of benefit to BU3A activities or members.

8. Do not infringe copyright. Ask permission from the copyright holder if you have an image or an item you wish to post that does not belong to you.

9. Report anything that may break any of these rules to the coordinators for review and potential removal.                                                          

 10. Any disputes that cannot be resolved will be passed to the BU3A Chairman for arbitration.
