Meeting at Methodist church, Monk Bretton on the first Monday of every month. The meetings are chaired by Mr Roy Stewart who is a retired senior university lecturer in cell and cancer biology. We are a mixed group and those members that wish to are encouraged to give presentations to the group and at occasional Monthly Meetings on any cosmology-related subject such as dark matter, the planets, telescopes, famous scientists, particle physics or anything that takes our interest. We have recently incorporated geological aspects of planetary science as well and recently organized a joint cosmology/geology session which may well become an annual fixture.

We also, of course, would like to know if there is life out there on any of the innumerable exoplanets and moons circling their stars! Included in the timetable of events are presentations from visiting Sheffield University and other lecturers usually via zoom and hopefully trips to the Hoober Observatory via liaison with the local Swinton and Mexborough Astronomical Society. There is also possible visits to Jodrell bank and the new plane
