We, Birdwatchers have the second Monday in the month as our regular set date. Plus always assemble at venues in the Barnsley area at 9.30am unless I change this meeting time.  I also do offer extra dates, especially in the winter.  This is to make up for Mondays when I cancel because of bad weather.  This January was a classic example ( that dreadful week of ice and snow).  Also, birdwatching is so much easier when the trees are bare. And there are less things to do generally for my u3a Birders in the winter months

Sessions are usually half days finishing before lunch and so Members can get to the Monthly meeting and other afternoon u3a activities. 

Perhaps I go within a 20 mile radius of Barnsley and my home in Dodworth.
